Having a garden at home is a great way to relax and taking care of the garden becomes your hobby. Whenever you are stressed you can go to your garden and relax. Planning out a garden needs to be done properly. You must make sure that you give enough space for each plant and if you are planning on to have a fountain then you need to decide where you need to place the fountain and how you will water each plant in the garden.

So if you happen to move to a new house and plan to set up a garden in your house you can follow the below tips to plan out your garden.

  • Decide which plant must go where.
  • Have enough walking around space.
  • Keep good lightings.
  • Make sure that proper water flow and drainage is there.
  • Set up a fountain in the middle of the garden.
  • Consider to have some space for you to sit and enjoy the Garden.

Decide which plant must go where:

Before randomly placing your plants from different places, make sure that you have a rough idea of which plant goes where.  Do not have lots of plants which grow in bushes. You can keep flowering plants in a small pot and you can even hang them on the rooftops.

Do not place the plants with thorns next to your walking area.  Otherwise, there are chances for the thorns to poke you while you walk around the garden.

Have enough space to walk around:

You must make sure that you have enough space to walk around the garden to prune the plants and to water them regularly. Space out each plant so that it will be easy for you to add manure to the pants and also you can water them easily. If plants are planted very near then there are changes of waterlogging.

If you want to talk a small walk around the garden you will not be able to do that if you happen to have a lot of plants and bushes placed Irregularly all over the garden.

Keep good lightings:

Keep the garden lit with multiple lights. So that it looks great during the night. You can also host small parties in the garden if you have proper lights in your garden.

Make sure that proper water flow and drainage is there:

While planting the saplings make sure that you keep enough space in between them.  The space between the plants allows the water to flow freely and prevents clogging.

Consider having drip irrigation as it is said to be one of the most efficient methods of watering the plants. If you use drip irrigation method to water the plants the water wastage is less.

Set up a fountain in the middle of the garden:

A fountain can bring so much beauty to your garden. A small fountain is very easy to set up and it can calm you down. The fountains add up to the beauty of the garden.

Consider to have some space for you to sit and enjoy the Garden:

If you want to relax in your garden then you can have bamboo or cane chairs put in the lawn.
